The county council has 64 electoral divisions with one councillor being elected for each.

The document in the related documents section shows the county council's electoral boundaries as set in 2005. They remained the same in the 2009 local election.

Boundaries for the general election

Westminster Parliamentary consituencies have different boundaries to the county council divisions. In the general election you will be voting for an MP to represent your area in Westminster.

To find out which constituency you live in visit the Ordnance Survey's Election Maps (opens in a new window) website and enter your postcode or a place name.
